Longview Lions - Open to Ages 6 and Up

This 10 week camp offers a variety of activities that will make a memorable and fun summer for our six to twelve year old campers! In Camp Lions, there will be various crafts, themed-activities for each week, golf on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, dodgeball every morning, supervised swim time, and outdoor games. Lunch and two snacks will be provided each day.

On select weeks, there will be an option of joining the field trip for the week at an additional cost. If children will not be attending the field trip, they will have the option to stay at Longview with a counselor for regular camp. On field trip days, lunch will also be provided and children must wear their camp t-shirts on the day of the field trip! On the weeks that there is not a field trip, there will be a special event for the week!

Registration will be offered on a first come first reserved basis via the online calendar.

Week 1

June 9th- 13th: Summer Kick Off: Luau and Water Week

Let’s kick summer being out with a luau! Join us for a week filled with water activities! Get ready to be soaked! In addition to water games, we will have a sip and paint, limbo challenges, and a float boat float competition. We will conclude the week with a fun time down the slides at Carolina Harbor Water Park at Carowinds.

 

Week 2

June 16th-20th: All Things Sweet

Join us for a week full of candy, sweet treats, and sugar! Some of the fun activities will be pie a staff member, blindfolded taste tests, cupcake decorating competition, and some delicious baking!

 

Week 3

June 23rd-27th: Stars & Stripes Birthday Bash

Birthday party for the USA! Wear red, white, and blue this whole week. Get ready to tie dye some shirts, and we will conclude the week by having a home run derby with hot dogs and snow cones! One of the days, we will even have a big inflatable water slide!

 

No Camp: June 30-July 4th

Week 4

July 7th – 11th: When Games Come to Life

This week will be filled with some gamer classics: a combination of games inspired by video games and classic board games! Some game spin offs will be inspired by Super Mario, Mine Craft, Pac-Man, and Glow in the Dark Laser Tag. We will also enjoy the classics and put a twist on some of the classic games like playing messy twister and glow in the dark pictionary. We will extend the fun by going to Activate Games in Matthews, which is an active gaming facility where you have to go through fun and exciting levels.

 

Week 5

July 14th-18th: Red Carpet Week

This week will be filled with your favorite songs and movies! We will have a lot of music and movie-inspired games, as well as plenty of chances to act. This week is all about featuring the stars of Longview Lions. We will conclude the week with a fun talent show with popcorn and other treats!

 

Week 6

July 21st-25th: Survivor Week

We will break into teams and do many difficult and exciting team challenges and puzzles. We will be doing challenges like egg drop competition, donuts on a string contest, cookie face challenge, and cup stack races. As the week goes on we will have a field trip to Whitewater Center to do a ropes course that will be counted towards our teams’ points for the week.

 

Week 7

July 28th -August 1st: Sports Week

Time to game on! This week will be a week dedicated to sports! Anywhere from tennis, wiffle ball, handball, soccer, volleyball- it will be an exciting and active week! We will conclude this week with a big dodgeball tournament!

 

Week 8

August 4th- 8th: Galaxy

All my Star Wars fans, this is a week for you! We will be training our Jedis at Longview. From Jedi training, Baby Yoda crafts, and Star War obstacle courses. During this week, we will have a field trip to Urban Air!

 

Week 9

August 11th- 15th Wild West

Get ready to put on your cowgirl/cowboy boots and hats, we are going out West this week! During this week, we will have a variety of western themed games, a cactus sip n paint, a Nerf Gun War, and more!

 

Week 10

August 18th-22nd Cartoons Week

Calling all artists! This week we will learn how to draw some of our favorite cartoon characters. We will also have fun and exciting games and crafts that are inspired by some of our favorite cartoons and TV shows! The special event for the week will be Black Light Glow in the Dark Art!

  • $40 for afternoons for kids coming after tennis camp


Daily Rate for Members

  • $65 per day
  • $75 for field trip day; Mandatory additional $30 fee for t-shirt that must be worn


Non-Members

  • Regular Week: $375 for first child; $350 for additional child
  • Field Trip Weeks: $400 for first child; $375 for additional children

Before Care/After Care:

  • Before Care is available upon request: Mon-Fri: from 8:00am-9:00am
  • After Care is available upon request: Mon-Fri: from 4:00pm-5:00pm.
  • Before care and after care is available for $15 per child for before care each day and $15 per child for after care each day.


*You must let the Youth Activities Director know at least a week prior to the camp week you are registered for, if these services are needed for staffing purposes

Camp Cubs - Open to Ages 3 to 5

This 7 week camp offers a variety of activities for our three to five year old campers! All children who attend must be potty trained. In Camp Cubs, campers will engage in playground time, themed games and crafts, and receive a snack!

This week will be full of crafts and activities that involve exotic animals! Get ready to have some face paint and join the circus for a week.


Week 7

July 28th - August 1st Galaxy

All my Star Wars fans, this is a week for you! There will be a variety of galaxy and Star Wars- inspired activities and crafts throughout the week!
